Who Tiqets is

Tiqets is a ticketing platform, not a gondola operator. Its own about page states that “in 2014, Tiqets’ founders embarked on a mission to make it easier for travelers to experience the best museums and attractions worldwide”, and lists a registered address on James Wattstraat in Amsterdam. It works with more than 4,000 venue partners and built its business on museum and attraction admission — which is exactly why its gondola catalogue is thinner than GetYourGuide’s and its combo shelf is better.

On Trustpilot it scores 4.3 out of 5 from 60,750 reviews at the time of writing, the highest of our three partners on that measure. As always, that is a company-wide score across thousands of attractions worldwide, not a verdict on one gondola stand in Venice.

The gondola tickets we hold

Classic Gondola Ride, €39 — 4.2 from 1,398 reviews, the best-reviewed gondola ticket on the platform and marked “Tiqets’ choice” on the venue page. The ticket includes a 30-minute shared ride in a boat of up to five, a 20-minute introduction to gondola history before boarding, assistance at the meeting point, access to the Gondola Gallery and a downloadable audio guide. That is why the duration reads 50 minutes: only 30 of them are on the water.

Gondola Ride with Live Commentary, €39 — 4.1 from 1,168 reviews. Same price, same structure, with a live guide in English, French or Spanish instead of an app. Worth the swap if you want questions answered; the route takes in La Fenice, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Santa Maria della Salute.

Bridge of Sighs and St Mark’s Basin, €35 — 4.1 from 163 reviews. Thirty minutes on the water with commentary by mobile app in English, plus a 15-minute walking introduction. Group size runs to six rather than five, so it can be one person tighter than the classic. It is the cheapest Bridge of Sighs ride on Tiqets but not on the market.

Grand Canal Evening Ride, €42.90 — 3.7 from only 35 reviews. An hour of your time for a 30-minute after-dark ride plus the gondola history intro and gallery access. The rating is too thin to lean on; see sunset and night rides for how the light and the official evening tariff interact.

Private Grand Canal Ride, €122 per boat — 3.4 from 104 reviews, up to five people, 30 minutes. The weakest score at the venue, and above the €80–€101 that buys a whole boat on GetYourGuide.

Shared Grand Canal Ride, €41 — 3.9 from 55 reviews, and the one to skip. It is the most expensive shared seat here, our data marks it non-refundable, and the venue page lists a group of up to 15 people, which means a convoy rather than a boat of five. There is no commentary; boarding assistance is all you get.

Cancellation, in plain terms

Tiqets does not use a flat 24-hour rule. Its own distributor documentation defines the policy codes our feed stores: before_date means cancellation is possible until a set number of hours before midnight on your visit date, and never means cancellation is not possible for that product.

• Refundable to a cut-off (before_date): the classic ride, live commentary, Bridge of Sighs, evening ride, private Grand Canal ride and the €59.50 walking-tour combo.
• Non-refundable (never): the €41 shared Grand Canal ride and the €66 gondola-plus-Murano-and-Burano combo.

Our feed records the policy type but not the number of hours, and Tiqets does not publish a single window per listing. Its terms state that cancelling is possible only where the product description says so, that the terms vary per supplier and are shown on the product page or in the delivery email, and that refunds can be requested up to 28 days after the date the ticket was valid for. Read the cancellation line at checkout before you pay — on a €41 ticket, “non-refundable” is the whole story.

Verdict

Tiqets is the right place to book if you want a gondola ride bolted onto museum tickets, or if you are booking last-minute and want the ticket on your phone before you have finished paying. The classic €39 ride is a solid, well-reviewed product with a genuine introduction included.

It is the wrong place if price alone decides. The same shared half-hour is €37 on GetYourGuide with 26,138 reviews behind it, Headout’s classic ride is €39 with a higher 4.3 rating and a named meeting point, and a private boat starts at €80 on GetYourGuide against €122 here. Skip the €41 shared listing entirely: it costs more, cannot be cancelled and puts you in a group of up to fifteen.
