These terms govern your use of gondolatour.venice.it (“the site”). If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. They were last updated on 9 September 2026.
1. Who we are
The site is an independent editorial project about gondola rides and boat tours in Venice. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated on behalf of the Comune di Venezia, the Ente Gondola, any gondolier cooperative or any tour supplier. Nothing here is an official communication from the gondola service. The site is published by the operator of this website (contact: info@gondolatour.venice.it).
2. Information only
The site publishes guidance, comparisons and price information. It does not sell tickets, take payments, hold inventory, issue vouchers or manage bookings. When you click through to a partner and book, you enter a contract with that platform and, through it, with a local supplier. Their terms, cancellation rules and privacy policies apply, not ours. Read them before you pay. Nothing here is legal, financial or safety advice.
3. Accuracy and prices
We take care with facts and mark unverified points as such. Even so, the site is provided “as is”. Prices, ratings, durations, tariffs, meeting points and availability change without notice. Product data comes from partner feeds refreshed periodically; the official gondola tariff is cross-checked against the Comune di Venezia’s published rate. A figure here is a guide, never a quotation. The price displayed by the booking platform at the moment you pay is the only binding one. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or remove any page at any time.
4. Affiliate links and commission
The site is funded by affiliate commission. Some links and embedded booking widgets — GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout — are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you book through them. You pay no more because of this; commission comes out of the platform’s own margin. Commercial relationships do not determine what we recommend.
5. Third-party content and widgets
Pages may embed booking widgets and images served by third parties. That content is controlled by them, not by us, and it may set its own cookies (see our privacy and cookies notice). We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of any external site, and a link is not an endorsement.
6. Intellectual property
The text, page structure, comparisons and editorial selections on this site are our property and protected by copyright. You may quote short extracts with a credit and a link. You may not copy, republish, scrape, resell or use the content to train a model without our prior written permission.
Photographs are used under Creative Commons or equivalent licences and remain the property of their authors; each image is credited on our photo credits page. If you reuse a photo, take the licence terms from the original source, not from us. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site — including missed rides, unavailable products, price differences, cancelled bookings, or the acts and omissions of any platform, supplier or gondolier. Your remedy for anything connected with a booking lies with the platform you booked with. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Changes
We may revise these terms. The version published here, with its update date, is the one in force; continuing to use the site means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Italy, and disputes are subject to the courts of Venice, Italy, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules in your country of residence.

Frequently asked questions
Does booking through a link on this site cost more?
No. Affiliate links do not change your price. Any commission we receive is paid by the platform out of its own margin.
Who is responsible if my gondola ride is cancelled?
The platform you booked with and the local supplier, under the terms you accepted at checkout. We are not a party to that contract and cannot resolve it.
Can I republish text or photos from this site?
Not the text — it is ours and needs written permission. Photos are used under their own licences: check the credit on the photo credits page and follow the licence terms of the original.
What if a price here is wrong?
The price shown on the booking platform at the moment of payment is the one that counts. Tell us at info@gondolatour.venice.it and we will correct the page.
