This notice explains what happens to data when you visit gondolatour.venice.it. It is dated 9 September 2026 and applies to this site only. The short version: we ask for nothing, store almost nothing, and the tracking you may encounter belongs to the booking platforms whose widgets appear on some pages.
No accounts, no forms
There is no registration, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no contact form on this site. Nothing you type is captured, because there is nowhere to type it. The only way to reach us is email, and then we hold only what you chose to send: your address, the message, and our reply. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you, and we add you to no list.
Server logs
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps technical logs. Those records typically include the IP address, the browser user agent, the page requested, the time of the request and the response status. They exist for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults, not for marketing: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for security purposes. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
Partner widgets and links
Some pages embed live booking widgets and product tiles from GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout, and some links take you to those platforms so you can book. When such a widget loads, or when you follow such a link, the platform may set its own cookies or similar identifiers — commonly to remember your session, to attribute the referral, and for their own analytics. Once you click through, you are on their site and their rules apply.
Those cookies are set by the platform, not by us, and we have no access to what they contain. What each one collects, and how to control it, is set out in its own privacy and cookie policy; read the one that matters to you before booking. If you block third-party cookies, the widgets may not display correctly, but the editorial content of every page still works.
What we do not do
- No advertising networks, banner ads or retargeting pixels.
- No cross-site behavioural profiling.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data. Ever.
- No use of your data to train models.
Any analytics we may add in future will be limited to aggregate traffic measurement, disclosed here first, with the update date changed accordingly.
Legal basis and controller
Where the brief processing of server log data involves personal data, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For email correspondence, the basis is our legitimate interest in replying to you. The data controller is the operator of this website (contact: info@gondolatour.venice.it); write to that address with any question about this notice or about your rights.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to ask for access to any personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@gondolatour.venice.it. We reply within one month, and usually much sooner. Please tell us which right you are exercising; in practice the only data we are likely to hold is your correspondence with us.
Children and changes
The site is aimed at adults planning travel, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. We update this page when the site changes — for example if we add analytics or a new embedded partner. The version published here, with the date at the top, is the one in force.
